• Swedish Massage  - Focuses on relaxation & helping decrease muscle tension without using heavy pressure. Helps increase circulation & relaxes the central nervous system. 

• Deep Tissue Massage- uses heavier pressure to target deeper layers of muscle tissue, tendons, fascial/connective tissue. 

• Prenatal Massage- good for women who are currently pregnant. Many women can safely receive massage soon after conception up to the week of their due date! If you are unsure if massage is right for you check with your primary care physician before booking an appointment. Prenatal massage is beneficial for decreasing pain associated with pregnancy (Low back & hip pain, swelling of the limbs, difficulty sleeping, etc)

• Postnatal Massage- after pregnancy, massage is essential for helping loosen up tight & tired muscles from the labor process. The massage helps soften tissue that is overwhelmed from the empowering & constant demands of motherhood. 

• Sports Massage- Sports massage is great for people who are active in competitive/recreational sports, gym enthusiasts & everyday athletes. Sports massage can improve athletic performance & prevent injuries. Tender areas are worked on gently to help increase circulation, tight muscles are lengthened to promote tissue flexibility. 

• Hot Stone Massage / Other Techniques: Your RMT may use hot stone to relieve muscle pain and tension.   The also  do myofascial Release, Pin & Stretch, Passive Stretch, Joint mobilization & much more.  Hot stone is free for a 30-minute massage session

IMS is an effective treatment for acute and chronic pain. It is provided by a Physiotherapist who is clinically-trained to provide the service.  It involves the insertion of fine needles (similar to acupuncture) into areas of the body where muscles have shortened or contracted.  IMS needles stimulates and relaxes those problematic muscles and triggers the healing process.  It is best suited for frozen shoulder, fibromyalgia, tennis elbow, neck pain and back pain among others. The insertion of the fine needles entails insignificant amount of pain which is very tolerable.
